Privacy Policy

This policy covers Gelato Synth, Gelato Chord, and any other apps published by Gelato Audio (operated by Cerrone LLC), together referred to as “our apps,” and the website gelatoaudio.com.

Our apps

What we don’t do

Our apps have no accounts or logins, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers, and make no network connections. We do not know who you are, and nothing you do in the app is sent to us or to anyone else.

What stays on your device

Your settings, presets, saved sounds, loops and recordings are stored only on your device using the operating system’s standard on-device storage. They never leave your device through our apps, and we cannot see them. Deleting the app removes them, apart from files you have saved or shared elsewhere yourself.

Children’s privacy

Our apps are designed to be friendly for beginners of all ages, including children. Because we collect no data from anyone, we collect no data from children under 13. We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) by simply not gathering personal information.

The App Store

Our apps are distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect its own information when you download or purchase an app, under Apple’s privacy policy, which we do not control. In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple; we never see your payment details or your Apple Account.

This website

gelatoaudio.com counts visits so we can see which pages are useful. We do this without cookies and without storing anything in your browser.

• What is counted: the pages you view, the page that sent you here, your browser and device type, your approximate country and city, and taps on things like the chord pads and App Store buttons.
• How: we use PostHog, an analytics service, in its cookieless mode. Visits are grouped by a one-way hash that changes every day, so we can count unique visitors without being able to recognize you on a later day. We do not store your IP address.
• What we don’t do: no advertising, no cross-site tracking, no selling or sharing data, no accounts, no newsletter sign-up, and no cookie banner, because there are no tracking cookies to ask about.
• Hosting: the site is served by Cloudflare, which processes requests (including IP addresses) to deliver pages and protect against abuse, under its own privacy policy.
• Email: if you write to us, we keep your message and address only to reply and to help you later. We never add you to a mailing list.

The online chord player on this site makes its sounds inside your browser. Nothing you play is recorded or sent anywhere.

Changes

If an app ever adds a feature that would change how data is handled, we will update this policy and the date above before that feature ships.
